Evie Grimhilde wasn't at all a stupid girl, nor was she prone to not being aware of her surroundings. But the fact was, Evie didn't remember leaving the train with her rucksack on her back. She'd been on it, giving Little One cooking lessons and preparing to meet Ignis in the dressing car to see what other clothes they could fix. And then she was standing in the middle of her sewing room back in Auradon, noting projects she'd left unfinished. Her sketchbook still open to a drawing of Harry and a new outfit for him, custom made and perfect for the pirate. Attention to his preferences were obvious, down to color and decorative bits. And it made her miss that pirate so much just looking at it.
But she was home. She was finally off that stupid train.
How long had it been? Too long. Far, far too long and Evie wanted to see people. Mal. Carlos. Jay. Even Audrey.
So she runs towards the front of the house, hits her kitchen and stops.
It was a disaster. She didn't leave it like this. She never left her house a mess, ever. So what had happened?
She returns to her rucksack in the sewing room long enough to retrieve the sword she'd stolen from goblins during her time on the train and then continues through her house, this time purposefully making enough noise to hopefully warn whoever was in her house that she was home.
Or, at the very least, draw them out.
There's a sound to her left, an angry, rushed stomping and the sound of a sword being drawn and Evie turns, raising her own sword to block whoever was coming for her. She was ready for a fight, ready to defend herself and her home as only an Isle Girl can but...
"Harry?!"
That was entirely unexpected.
